martas Hotel Albrechtshof Berlin

I had some doubts about staying here after reading a few of the reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised in every way. The location is fantastic — no more than a 15-minute walk to the Brandenburg Gate and Reichstag, with plenty of great bars and restaurants along the river nearby. The staff were very hospitable and made us feel welcome from the start. We didn’t try the breakfast, but it looked good whenever we passed through the dining area. Our room on the top floor was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The shower was a little on the small side, but the water was hot and powerful, so no complaints there. Only downside was the wifi. Unless you were in reception there wasn't any but we had roaming data. During the week, the street outside can be a bit noisy, but it was much quieter over the weekend. We always travel with earplugs, so it wasn’t an issue for us. After having some initial reservations, I’d now have no hesitation in recommending this place. A great stay overall!

The personal was very friendly and welcoming. The room (including the bathroom) was spotlessly clean. The firm mattress suited my preferences. I am glad I decided to eat breakfast at the hotel. There was a wide choice of food and drink, and it was of good quality. The single room was not that large, but it was more than adequate, and far better than many cupboards called single rooms.

The hotel is in a fabulous location, close to a main station hub and very close to the river with lots of restaurants. Hotel is very pretty with a lovely ivy covered courtyard. We had a courtyard facing room as requested on the 3rd floor, the room isn't huge but is very comfortable with a mini bar and a very nice shower. We didn't take breakfast at the hotel but it did seem very popular so we must assume it was good.

The hotel was really nice. Large rooms, good sized bathroom. Very clean and in a great location to bars and restaurants and close to train station making it easy to navigate the city. The staff were so nice and helpful. They let us keep our luggage there after we checked out as we had some events in the city to attend. Then we collected them later that evening. The room was warm and cosy with a great little view over a courtyard.
